Cyprus boasts the longest golf season in Europe and Greece hosts the No.1 golf resort in Europe so take these two destinations very seriously.

Although 600 miles apart, I’ve grouped Cyprus and Greece together on our website as they are similar in many ways. Both share gorgeous south Mediterranean weather and incredible history, both are about a four-hour flight from London and both are a little bit off the beaten track when it comes to golf but should be on any golfing radar.
With such consistent and perfect weather and genuinely welcoming people, Cyprus is a deservedly popular tourist destination. And now that all two of its four courses are very good, one worth playing and the other fun and pretty, Paphos has become a venue of choice for golfers looking for warm-weather golf throughout the year, without the sometimes steep prices of the Algarve and Costa del Sol. And apres-golf is an excellent mix of culture, restaurants, bars and beaches. In fact, of all my travels in 2022, I would say I was most impressed with the food in Cyprus. I would heartily recommend you explore the island too – driving is easy and there are sights galore.
For golf, Aphrodite Hills aka PGA National Cyprus is the most famous and regularly hosts the European Tour, Elea is a tough track designed by Sir Nick Faldo, the new look and every-improving Secret Valley is my second favourite and Minthis Hills reminds me a lot of golf in Europe in the 1990’s – charming, enjoyable and with some improvements to make.
In and around Paphos in Southern Cyprus (officially known as the Republic of Cyprus and governed by the Greek Cypriots) is lively and boasts a super selection of four-star and luxury hotels. I’ve cherry picked my personal favourites. Enjoy the warm welcome, coastal accommodation, great food and fun apres-golf, hire car or private transfers as you wish – it all adds up to an enjoyable and sunny and golf holiday.
Korineum in Northern Cyprus (the Turkish Cypriot side of the island) is a “small but perfectly formed” four-star resort with a beautiful golf course and very spacious bedrooms and good facilities. My prices at Korineum are sensational and it’s the perfect choice if you’re looking for near-guaranteed sunshine away from the crowds at fantastic value. Take my seven-night package including dinner, four rounds of golf and private airport transfers and you can’t go wrong.
