Course overview

On a 500ha protected site, Minthis Hills is part of an upscale resort with contemporary villas, restaurants and spa. It’s a stunning setting and the architecture and facilities live up to the location.

The golf course was originally designed by Donald Steel but has recently been renovated by “in vogue” Mackenzie & Ebert as well as all the greens being reseeded.  It’s now a par 72 of about 6500 yards with very little water and not that many bunkers. However it’s not as easy as it sounds as there are plenty of olive trees and subtle dog-legs and the greens are small, plus maintenance is not particularly good.  Accomplished golfers might leave a little unimpressed although they will still have to concentrate around the greens to post a decent score.

With practice range, short-game area and on-site, high-quality accommodation, I would suggest Minthis as being ideal for less experienced golfers looking for a relaxing holiday with some unpressured rounds in between the good food and relaxation.
