Included in the marvels of Siam Reap is the 8th Wonder of the World – Angkor Wat Temple of the Khmer Empire. This and the National Museum of Cambodia is just a few minutes’ drive from the resort as are galleries where the artists are always delighted to explain their methods. And to really immerse yourself into the culture, taken in a show at the nearby Grand Theatre. The area is perfect for cycling amid the rice fields and small villages where you can stop and nibble along the way.
The capital of Phnom Penh is a breath-taking mix of the legacy of the Khmer Empire and the French colonialists and the modern, heady ambience of a bustling city….All along the Mekong River and surrounded by the incredible agricultural districts that are unique to Cambodia. With parks, restaurants and bars within a short walk of the hotel there’s plenty to experience and you should also take time to tour the Russian Market and to experience the museums dedicated to the nearly two million Cambodian’s who lost their lives during the 1970’s Pol Pot Khmer Rouge regime.

The climate is topical wet and dry because of the distinctly marked seasonal differences. So it’s best to avoid mid-May to late September. The dry season temperatures from November to April are also the nicest at about 30 C with night time temperatures not falling below 20 C and the humidity is a very pleasant 50%.
