Hotel Accommodation
The Romanos features 321 luxurious rooms and suites. The smallest bedroom type is 40m2 and would be rated as five-star comfort whatever your standards. You can upgrade to Seaview bedrooms with private plunge pool and a selection of stunning villas on the beach. In fact, the hotel has about a dozen different room categories so whatever you are keen on, just ask us to advise and quote for your accommodation needs.
The resort has world-class amenities, including the award-winning Anazoe Spa, providing rejuvenating treatments inspired by ancient Greek practices.
Dining & Bars
Delight your palate at Eleon, the signature restaurant offering a fusion of Greek and international cuisine, prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Many other options are available all having different styles such as Greek, Japanese, Middle Eastern and many more. There are nearly 30 bars & restaurants throughout the Costa Navarino resort with many of the restaurants included in the Dine Around half-board option.
Golf
The Dunes Course (5200-7120 yards)
Adjacent to The Romanos and Westin, The Dunes is a Bernhard Langer layout with typically challenging approach shots and contoured greens. Weaving through olive orchards and the coast, The Dunes is arguably the favourite course of the four at Costa Navarino, I’ve yet to score well at The Dunes but I always want to come back for more.
The Bay Course (5,131 – 7,180 yards)
Designed by Robert Trent Jones II, the Bay Course is a scenic experience through olive groves and along the bay. With its subtle bunkers and undulating greens, it offers golfers unique challenges while rewarding sensible play. The cozy clubhouse may miss out on views but makes up for it with excellent food.
The Olympic Course (5,157 – 7,002 yards
Voted the World’s Best New Golf Development in 2020, this course, designed by José María Olazábal, boasts wide fairways and well-protected greens. It’s the least technically demanding of the four, making it easier to score well, while offering the best views.
The Hills Course (4,757 – 6,908 yards)
The Hills features a strategic mix of long and short holes, requiring smart play. Its gorgeous par threes, short length, and Bermuda fringes create a satisfying challenge. It’s a perfect representation of how Olazábal played during his prime, rounding out the resort’s exceptional golf offerings.
Conclusion
I would suggest The Romanos as being most suitable for couples and small groups of mature golfers.
