Hotel Overview

The Annabelle is old-school hospitality in the best sense of the term. It’s a gorgeous, well-run and classy hotel that has matured into a destination that ticks all the boxes. The Annabelle reminds me a lot of Hotel Quinta do Lago on the Algarve and Villa d’Este on Lake Como – seemingly effortless luxury hotels but run with real passion and flair and energy behind the scenes. Being the first hotel in Paphos, at what was then just a simple fishing port, the Annabelle has the prime location on the beach in central Paphos and is a discreet oasis. Founded nearly 50 years ago, the Annabelle was the first five-star hotel to open in Cyprus and hasn’t necessarily modernised to the latest degree but has kept more than up-to-date with the best in service, food and presentation while keeping its timeless aura.

Hotel Accommodation

There are 244 bedrooms – ranging from 24m2 Inland View bedrooms to 35m2 Studio Suites with Sea View & Whirlpool and larger Family Rooms and Suites. All classically presented and beautifully maintained. And throughout the hotel, the history of the establishment oozes ambience and architectural style. The gardens are prefect and lead down to the beachfront promenade where you can watch the world go by while supping a chilled post-golf/pre-dinner glass of wine.

Dining & Bars

I’ve eaten twice at the Annabelle and both meals were superb. The roof-top Ouranos, beachfront Mediterraneo, the intimate Amorosa, all-day dining at Fontana and al fresco candlelit dining as Asteras. There are three bars and you can also wander down the beach promenade to the Annabelle’s contemporary hotel to eat and drink there.

The Annabelle is the perfect choice for a stylish holiday away from more typical Mediterranean venues.

Golf

There are many golf options nearby. First of all, Aphrodite Hills (PGA Cyprus), the rejuvenated Elea Golf Club, Minthis Hills and the beautiful course of Secret Valley. We can arrange private transfers or a hire car for you.
