Spain was the front-runner of golf holidays in Europe and it still boasts some of the finest resorts and most enjoyable golf courses you can enjoy. And the Canary Islands and Mallorca now add some serious quality to the menu.

Choose around the coastline from the border to France to the border of Portugal. If the sea isn’t your thing, head inland to explore the glorious history of Seville and the “real” Andalucia or try the medieval city of Girona and dramatic Barcelona in the north-east (Costa Brava) of the country. Madrid is also opening up its more exclusive courses and becoming more welcoming to golfers…And why not three courses in Spain’s Top 10.
My choice of hotels and golf courses tend to ignore the more predictable destinations and focus on the incredible beauty and history of one of the world’s most fascinating countries. Click on the links below or just give us a call on 0207 8701258.
Of course, Spain is also famous for its islands and Mallorca, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and La Gomera provide year-round warm weather and a wonderful array of hotels and courses. The Canary Islands is a no-brainer when it comes to escaping somewhere warm and easy-to-get-to from October through to April. In the case of Mallorca, you’ll be hard pressed to find such charm, quality and scenery in one place…Pictured above is T Golf Calvia – one of my top six courses on the island. It’s my favourite “region” of Spain although I’m always delighted to pack my clubs where ever I can enjoy Spanish hospitality.
