Golf Holidays in Mallorca

Mallorca is now a very impressive golf holiday destination. Over the last ten years, there’s been a massive effort to improve the quality of hotels and restaurants, and to show-off the historic towns and coast of this beautiful Spanish island. Combined with some sensational golf courses. the investment has worked a treat and Mallorca is now arguably the best Mediterranean island for a “golf and more” holiday.

For a great choice of golf courses and apres-golf look no further than in and around the capital of Palma where we have a wonderful selection of golf hotels, beachfront treasures, All Inclusive resorts and town-centre bases. Long-term favourites are the sister five-star hotels The Arabella Sheraton Golf Hotel and the Castillo Hotel Son Vida which share three golf courses, four restaurants and two spas. The four-star Hotel Bendinat and Hotel Son Caliu help keep the price down and are perfectly-located for evening entertainment.

For groups, the Iberostar Suite Hotel Jardin del Sol is excellent value. Take a look at our complete list below to see where best suits you.

On the north-east coast of Mallorca, there’s a smaller – but still good – selection of golf courses and hotels and the value is exceptional. Under an hour from Palma Airport, this is where you go to enjoy the island’s sunshine, scenery and a golf holiday at a very reasonable price.

Mallorcan golf courses offer a variety of style and standards; the holiday courses of Poniente, Real Bendinat, Santa Ponsa, Son Severa and Capdepera will appeal to all golfers and the gems of Alcanada, Golf Park Mallorca, Son Gual and Pula are must plays for keen players, All told, there are 24 golf courses on the island, of which 15 are worth your time and money, we get special rates at all of them.

The coldest month is December but even then the temperature doesn’t fall lower than 15 C with a full seven hours of sunshine.

The weather gets gradually warmer with daytime temperatures of 30 C and 12 hours of sunshine in July. Spring and Autumn are the high-season months for green-fees so, from November to March, you should consider Mallorca as a cheaper alternative to the Canaries. Throughout the year, it’s always impressive and will meet the needs of even the most discerning of golfers and non-golfers alike.
