Golf Holidays in Biarritz

Biarritz is full of fun and blends ideal weather, brilliant French, Basque and Spanish cuisine, a fabulous array of sports – including no fewer than four golf courses in Europe’s Top 100, beaches that brought surfing to Europe and an eclectic choice of hotels. The locals pride themselves in their “open arms” welcome and you they, the attractions and the fantastic scenery will soon put in a holiday mood.

Biarritz is historic and beautiful too. It dates from the 12th-century and was a whaling port until the 18th-century when the waters were found to have therapeutic properties. Napoleon III and other royals made the resort fashionable and the fantastic sports facilities soon followed. Pelota, rugby, tennis, golf…All of world-class quality and hosted by some of the friendliest people you’ll meet.

You can either fly direct to Biarritz (or even Bordeaux for a sensational two-centre holiday) or cruise down with your car on the Portsmouth to Bilbao ferry which you leaves you just two hours from the resort.  You can then choose to meander up to the ports in the north of France or take the cruise ferry home.

The weather is strong and mild throughout the year and the travel, hotel and golf bargains to be had between October and March are unbelievable.  April to June and September still provides great value-for-money and even the summer months are attractively-priced compared to similar quality resorts.  Biarritz is well-worth considering whether you want a change from the Algarve or Costa del Sol or if you just want to visit one of most appealing regions in France.  Whatever your reason, you’ll definitely go back!
