Hossegor Golf Club FOREST
Course overview
With lush, tree-lined fairways and some very tight holes, Hossegor is a beautiful and testing golf course and you need to be an accomplished or patient player to score well. Don’t get disheartened if your scorecard looks poor after the first few holes as it will be the same for everyone and the course does get wider. In fact, we would suggest matchplay or some smooth swinging with your favourite hybrid off the tee. The greens, thankfully, are true and the bunkers are very fair, too.
Rated in the European Top 100 and with a prestigious reputation and great clubhouse, Hossegor is worthy of a game but it would be so much nicer if some of the trees were trimmed back to where Harry Colt had planned them to be in his original 1920s design.
It’s a flat course and no buggies are allowed. Ask us about the Clubhouse bedrooms if you want to sleep, eat and drink at this serious test of golf all week.
