Accommodation
The hotel is in the main manor house and features rich and welcoming bedrooms (renovated in 2024) with the Club Rooms being small but fine for short stays and any other category being suitable for longer stays. The fine-dining (and superb breakfast) restaurant Le Montaigu overlooks the lake and the converted stables provide a unique and cosy beginning and end to your evening. Le Club Brasserie is in the clubhouse just across the courtyard where you’ll find a lovely terrace by the putting green. The spa is very zen with treatment rooms and indoor pool. The hotel is extremely oriented towards ecology including its own vegetable estate which you can visit.
The three-star cottages are also popular as they give you the flexibility and freedom of having your own kitchen and space. Choose from adjacent to the hotel or the very private cottages in the woods running alongside some of the fairways. You know that at any time you can enjoy the service and facilities of the five-star hotel. There is a decent bakery, good butcher and a supermarket as well as plenty of other shops and restaurants in the nearby port town of La Roche Bernard. And if you’re looking for self-catering at a top-class standard, then we’ve got a solution for you, with the hotel’s Relais et Chateaux One & Two Bedroom Villas with their private terrace and garden.
Golf
The hotel’s golf course is very beautiful woodland course in fine condition throughout the year. La Bretesche is quite flat and fairly generous off the tee but there are plenty of bunkers and quite a few raised greens to make a fine holiday challenge. Additionally, we can arrange golf at the two courses of La Baule, Nantes La Vigneux, Savenay and, further afield, the excellent links of Saint Jean de Monts.

Access
Under two hours from the port of Saint Malo, 30 minutes from Nantes Airport and six hours from Calais, La Bretesche is worth being the focal point of any holiday but is also ideal as part of a touring or multi-centre holiday. Southern Brittany is famed for its soft and warm climate so is an attractive escape throughout the year.
Overview
