Golf International Barrière La Baule PARKLAND
Course overview
Previous host to the French Open and designed by Alliss, Thomas and Nicklaus Jnr, this 36 hole layout is a treat. Both courses are parkland in style and about 7000 yards off the tiger tees, but the older Lucien Barriere course (Blue) is easier off the tee and easier to understand the principles to play it well. The Diane Barriere-Desseigne (Red) course is narrower and has more water but again mixes the tough challenge with the fair to make a good course. The clubhouse, with its pool and restaurant, fits the five-star resort hotels of Hermitage, Royal and Castel Marie Louise at which we have top class golf packages and very attractive golf and dinner packages.
