Looking fresh after a refurbishment, The Athena Hotel is the largest of the four Constantinou Brothers hotels and is a superior four star with a huge choice of facilities and restaurants. Just a mile from Paphos resort, the Athena has 520 bedrooms – ranging from Superior Land View to Two Bedroom Sea View Suites with private cabana.

The level of service for a four-star hotel is outstanding and I’m always impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of the hotel staff. The General Manager is a good friend and he also manages three five-star properties so the four-star Athena Beach definitely benefits from his five-star expertise.

All my prices are based on the Elite Class accommodation and Ultra All Inclusive Package which adds between £55 (low and mid-season) to £72 (high-season) per person per day to the basic price of bed and breakfast in Classic Land View bedroom but includes all sorts of welcome add-ons such as:

The bedrooms are bright, comfortable and spacious, the public lounges and gardens are classy and generous and there’s a light and welcoming atmosphere. Superior rooms start at 26m2 and the rather special Duplex Junior Suite Sea View with Private Pool comes in at just over 100m2 including the veranda and pool area.

There are four bars, six restaurants and the vast array of leisure facilities (from outdoor bowling to bike hire) are shared with its smaller and adjacent five-star sister hotel, the Athena Royal. The 800m2 Elixir Spa offers all the modern treatments you’d expect and there’s a busy entertainment scene.

I like the Athena a lot and I think it’s a great choice if you fancy a smart but informal and lively hotel with the delicious benefits of All Inclusive.
