Developed since the beginning of 20th-century when the Thai Royal Family and aristocracy spent their summers here, Hua Hin has retained a lot of its century-old charm and features beautiful seaside houses, night, food and craft markets, upscale shopping villages and a more sedate atmosphere than Phuket.
Hua Hin is a 2 1/2 hour drive from Bangkok and I arrange private transfers for you or the train ride from the capital takes you through some brilliant countryside.
There are a dozen decent golf courses in the area and I’ve fine-tuned the choice to leave you four beautiful tracks to enjoy.
Holiday from November to March for the driest weather, April to June is wetter but still decent and you can take the risk (and take advantage of some brilliant rates) if you holiday in July and October.
