Course overview

First opened nearly 100 years ago, Royal Hua Hin is the oldest 18-hole international standard course in Thailand and is only 5 minutes from downtown Hua Hin. The golf course was commissioned in 1924 to accommodate the interests of the British railway workers and Thai aristocracy living in the area. Set between some spectacular rocky hills, the layout resembles a traditional British parkland except for the views of the Gulf of Thailand, the exotic staff and the weather of course!

Every golfer’s game will be tested here, with several tight tree-lined fairways and plenty of dog-legs leading to small circular greens. The bunkering is relatively modest. It’s the ideal “warm-up” course and a great insight into the local wildlife with Macaque monkeys lining some of the fairways. There are snack huts every three holes and the clubhouse is full of charm and history.
