Just three miles from one of my favourite UK & Ireland holiday destinations, the Kinsale Hotel & Spa offers easy proximity (aka a cheap taxi ride) to the numerous bars and restaurants of Kinsale and a very comfortable and contemporary riverside base to retreat to, as well as easy access to the two superb courses of Old Head and Cork.

Overlooking Oysterhaven Bay, there are 70 bedrooms (I recommend the upgrade to Executive to get the views), luxury spa with indoor pool and gym and there are also 17 self-catering lodges which provide the facilities, space (and prices) you want for a longer stay. The Rockpool Bar & Restaurant offers anything from BBQ and pizza menu to more classical dining.
