The Royal Park I Roveri Turin has the parkland and forest course that has always been rated in the Top 3 courses of Italy and hosted the Italian Open from 2009 to 2012.

The Trent Jones Snr course is the senior and more renowned of the two very fine layouts at Royal Park

In Detail…

Wide, meandering fairways lead to large greens but there are large trees and plenty of big bunkers along the way.   This is a wonderful and subtle golf course without the “bling” of more modern courses but will leave a far longer memory.   The second course was opened in 2006 and designed by Hurdzan-Fry.  Voted Best New Course by no less than Golf Digest and Golf World, the par of 72 and a Slope of 140 and 7100 yards off the back means it’s a stern test of golf from the very back.  But like all good designers, there are fewer hazards if playing off the forward tees.

A prestigious but unpretentious golf club, Royal Park I Roveri must be put on your “must play” list in the region.
