Les Chenes FOREST
Another Tom Simpson course (he was very much in demand among the demanding golf club owners around Paris in the early 20th-century), Du Lys offers two very easy-walking courses and a delightful clubhouse. It is a Members’ Club but very welcoming and the club teams are well represented in the high-standard competitions around France. Les Chenes is the better course, an intelligent parkland design with good bunker positioning and small greens.
Les Bouleaux FOREST
Les Bouleaux is flat, short and pretty but maintenance is relatively poor. Surrounded by some wonderful stables and private houses, Les Bouleaux provides a lovely walk and a great way to warm up your game. It’s also perfect for an afternoon round after you’ve played Les Chenes in the morning (with a lovely lunch in between of course!)
