Hotel Overview

A very warm and welcome return to Le Mas Candille in Mougins, the South of France. We worked with the hotel for many years until it closed in 2021 for a full renovation. Re-opened in June 2024, Le Mas Candille is arguably the best-located luxury hotel in the South of France with fabulous views towards Grasse and is just a short walk to the iconic hilltop village of Mougins where you will find art galleries and restaurants.

Hotel Accommodation

Under 30 minutes from Nice Airport and 15 minutes from Cannes, Le Mas Candille boasts 46 bedrooms and suites – all discreetly laid out over a four-hectare park where you’ll also find The Glow House Spa by Clarins offering an adult only indoor & outdoor pool of 25meters long and plenty of hideaways where you can tuck yourself away with a good book and a bottle of wine. Additionally there are larger bedrooms in the modern “Bastide” wing and the 6 suites of 70m2 in La Villa, each with large terrace and immaculately presented, King bedroom and sofa-bed.

Some of the bedrooms are small (25m2) by modern standards because they are in the original “Mas” but they are beautifully appointed and have views over the gardens. Apart from the splendid Suites, my personal favourite is the Terrace bedroom with its own private and quiet terrace.

Golf

For golf, there’s the beautiful Royal Mougins and Cannes Mougins just down the road and the golf clubs of La Grande Bastide and Opio Valbonne and Grasse within easy driving distance. Further afield you have top courses like Terre Blanche and Taulane. Compared to similar-quality courses in Spain and Portugal, the courses in the South of France are fantastic value and less busy but you still have the great weather and unforgettable scenery.

Dining & Bars

The gourmet restaurant “La Table des Pins” is open for the evening and the poolside “Aux Beaux Jours” is open for lunch.

I’ve stayed at Le Mas Candille several times – sometimes with colleagues, with my family and sometimes with golfing parties. It’s always been a success with sweet memories. Le Mas Candille offers a perfect location and a super-smooth hotel, perfect for discerning golfers to enjoy “La Belle Vie after their game”
