Mauritius Golf Holiday (November 2025)

I am delighted to provide my recommended itinerary for a golf holiday in Mauritius next autumn.  Taking flight costs, availability and hotel rates into consideration, we are recommending November 5-21 as ideal holiday dates but the hotel costs will remain very similar either side, however the flight costs do vary from day to day.

Mauritius is my favourite long-haul/exotic golf destination with its high level of service and accommodation and beautiful golf courses. The weather in November is arguably the best of the year as it’s hot without the intense heat of January and the “strong” weather of the spring.  My partners in Mauritius will meet and greet you and look after you to/from the hotel and golf courses and are on-hand should you have any special requests.

I would suggest ten nights at Le Prince Maurice and four nights at either The Oberoi or Anahita…three gorgeous properties, all with a strong emphasis on great food.   Anahita has the benefit of being on a beautiful golf course and offers All Inclusive food and beverage (excluding golf club hire and buggies at Iles aux Cerfs).   Le Prince Maurice is close to two very enjoyable golf courses and the All Inclusive does include golf club hire in 2025.  The Oberoi is not affiliated with any golf courses but is close to Le Mont Choisy which recently hosted The Mauritius Open.

The Oberoi features huge bedrooms dotted around it’s grounds with large, discreet gardens and swimming pools in tucked away areas along with a lovely beach.  It’s located on the north-west of the island so quite close to the capital of Port Louis.  The service is superb and there’s a “clubby” feel to the place.  The restaurants and public lounges are exquisite and the overall ambience is very similar to Le Prince Maurice i.e. privileged and “zen”.  The bedrooms feature a large bedroom with lounge area, bathroom with shower and sunken bath as well as an outdoor shower and each bedroom has a terrace which leads out onto the gardens…the beach is always close by. There are historic works of art featured throughout the grounds and a ravine and waterfall add to the splendour.  The Oberoi does not offer All Inclusive so prices are based there on dinner, bed and breakfast.

The Anahita is the most contemporary of the three hotels and there’s also a huge amount of space in the resort.  The restaurants and main pool, resort shops and reception form the heart of the resort and bedrooms are in the villas spread along the fairways.   The golf course is great fun and encourages aggressive play.  You also have access to the outrageously pretty and difficult Iles aux Cerfs Golf Club which is accessed via a short boat ride.  The All Inclusive is apparently generous but club hire is not included and the choice of dining would not be as extensive as at Le Prince Maurice.

These options are with Emirates Airlines flying in economy from Manchester to Mauritius via Dubai with 2 pieces of luggage, I have chosen these flight times as they have a short stop-off and the longer flight is overnight.   I have also provided a cost to upgrade to Business Class which includes free UK airport transfers (up to 50 miles) and the flat-bed seats, a huge amount of luggage, dedicated check-in and superior food and beverages.
