I am delighted to provide my quotation for a golf holiday to Palma, Mallorca. It’s a destination I very much like and one that has blossomed into an upmarket hotel and golf venue with beautiful scenery and history adding to the attraction.
Wherever one stays, there will be great selection of golf courses within 20 minutes drive. I would suggest the four-star Hotel Bellver two miles south of Palma and overlooking the marina which is well-placed for restaurants and bars. The hotel has its own pool and modern, bright bedrooms and terrific value for my clients.
Definitely make time to visit the city of Palma (pictured above) which boasts two marinas, an amazing cathedral and a fine mix of shops, eateries and history. I know half a dozen good restaurants and would be happy to reserve any of them for you.
For your golf, T Golf Calvia, T Golf Puntiro, Son Muntaner and Son Gual are my pick of a very good bunch. With Real Bendinat and Son Vida two very pretty but less challenging layouts. All told, they provide a high quality blend of fairly open but very pretty golf courses, all quite American in style. T Golf Calvia and T Golf Puntiro are undoubtedly the two “big movers” in Mallorcan golf. Son Muntaner hosts the Pro’s on a regular basis and is classy from start to finish and Son Gual is typical Jack Nicklaus with big fairways, big greens and big hazards. Real Bendinat is very easy on the eyes and has a more traditional parkland look and feel to it. I think you’ll be impressed with the maintenance standards and the service. All the clubhouses are first class too.
