Hotel Overview

For over 400 years, Woodenbridge Hotel in Wicklow welcomed travellers. There are 29 bedrooms in the main building and a further 40 in the adjacent Lodge as well as a great bar and restaurant serving hearty locally-sourced food to the regular backdrop of local music.

Bedrooms are all en-suite and comfortable, several have a balcony. My favourite are the old-style bedrooms in the main building but the bedrooms in the Lodge are more functional and modern.

The hotel is quite secluded but Woodenbridge Golf Club is literally just down the road and the hotel has two restaurants – the Goldmines Bistro serving traditional dishes between midday and 9pm and the more formal Redmond Restaurant, so there’s very little need to think about your car unless you want to explore the magnificent gardens and the 5000 years of history to be found in the “Ancient East” of County Wicklow.
