For a sunshine escape throughout the year, it’s hard to beat The Boulders just outside Scottsdale. The setting is ethereal and surrounded by some of the most sacred Native American grounds.

The bedrooms are in single-storey casitas spread throughout the resort but all within easy walking distance of the main reception area where you’ll find the restaurants, spa and bar.

The two courses are breathtakingly beautiful and the quality of the accommodation is top-class. The food and spa and general “feel-good” are the finishing touches.

A little dated these days but still magical.
