Hotel Accommodation

The hotel has three restaurants, spa, gym and plenty of different types of bedrooms – all generous in size and some with four bedrooms so perfect for small groups.  The bedrooms are being updated through 2024/25 and an extra wing and enlarged spa built.  All told, The Belfry will move into the big league.

Golf

With three famous courses and a superb level of greenkeeping, The Belfry is one of the most impressive golf club set-ups in the UK. The Brabazon – host to the Ryder Cup – is a tough challenge, measuring a whopping 7255 yards off the very back. The PGA National course is just under 7000 yards and the only PGA-rated golf course in England and The Derby is short but very sweet and designed by the great golf and design duo of Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas. All three courses are pleasant to walk although buggies are available.

Dining & Bars

For dining, The Ryder Grill is “the” spot for the evening and Sam’s Club House and Rocca’s Pizza Pasta are ideal for lunch or simpler dinners. The Brabazon Bar is perfect for cocktails and nightcap. In other words, The Belfry is somewhere you can park and then forget about the car until it’s time to go home.

Conclusion

I’ve always enjoyed my visits to The Belfry – the golf is famous, the staff know what they’re doing, the food is good and it’s great fun in the evening.  It’s decent value too.
