Known as the Garden City, Al Ain is an ancient city with plenty of green spaces and a good choice of local sights including historic monuments, incredible scenery and spectacular gardens.

The Rotana Al Ain hotel has over 240 bedrooms, six restaurants and good leisure facilities. Haff-board is fantastic value. The bedrooms are modern and measure 37m2 including balcony, I would recommend upgrading to the slightly more spacious Superior bedrooms if you’re staying for five nights or more.

A great value base and Al Ain is the perfect contrast to the modern “razzmatazz” of the cities of Abu Dhabi and even Dubai – both of which are a two hour drive away.
