Course overview
The most classic of the three designs, The Dukes is a little highly in parts and can also be tight so make sure you pay attention to the Course Planner and don’t cut corners because “there’s trouble beyond them there hills”. The Dukes is my favourite of the three as it teaches you to respect the layout but also encourages you to play proper golf. The three courses are all superbly maintained and staffed and Woburn is one of the slickest golf clubs I’ve visited in the UK – from clubhouse to practice to Starter. It’s no surprise that all three courses have hosted the European Tours and all three rated among England’s Top 100.
