Course overview
Dating from 1889, the Waterville we know and love opened in the 1970’s and was designed by Eddie Hackett and Claude Harmon. The views from many Irish courses are fabulous but Waterville rates among the finest. The golf course is pretty good too! Rated No. 5 in Ireland and among the UK’s best, the routing is seamless and the fairways enticing. The real trick is to get the correct side of the fairway so as to attack the wide but narrow greens from the best angle. Measuring 6810 yards off the Whites, Waterville requires great links play to get a good score – with or without the wind.
