St Andrews Castle Golf Club

Course overview

Of the seven St Andrews courses, The Castle is my second favourite despite being only 12 years old. Set a little outside the town and on the clifftop, the course has been toned down since it opened with the greens less undulating and fewer blind shots. It’s a marvellous model of how to build an old-fashioned golf course using new techniques. The views are fantastic and the food in the clubhouse is good too.
