Course overview
A very popular track on the Costa del Sol, Robert Trent Jones’ design features eight lakes, an abundance of bunkers and fast undulating greens. However, fear not as the fairways are generous and there’s little rough to speak of.
Los Olivos recently underwent extensive renovation to bring the course back to its prime after 18 years of heavy usage. This included new irrigation systems, and a redefinition of greens to USGA standards.
Greens are smaller and many are elevated. The par 3 14th is the most spectacular hole with magnificent panoramic views from the raised tees. Mijas Golf is a hospitable club with a pay-as-you-play policy. There are regular competitions to keep everyone interested.
