The list of accolades for Kempferhof golf club is long: fifth best in Europe as voted by Rolex, in the Top 15 of Continental Europe by various golf magazines, and often rated as the second best course in France. For lovers of the modern and beautiful designs by the Texan Robert von Hagge (think Les Bordes, Seignosse, Emporda, Golf National and 250+ superb courses around the world), Kempferhof is a must. What’s more, there’s a good hotel on site, plenty of other good courses and superb restaurants nearby and the gothic city of Strasbourg is 15 minutes to the north.
For those in the know, Kempferhof is a regular haunt. For most golfers, it’s not even on their radar. We urge you to visit as Kempferhof will delight you with its cosmopolitan atmosphere and superb test of golf.
Atypical of von Hagge’s designs, there’s plenty of water and big greens but there’s always a relatively easy route to the greens if you look hard enough. With five sets of tees and flat terrain, you can make Kempferhof a beast or a very pretty walk. Either way, you’ll become a fan of the location and the resort.
