What’s more, there’s a good hotel on site, plenty of other good courses and superb restaurants nearby and the gothic city of Strasbourg is 15 minutes to the north.

Atypical of von Hagge’s designs, there’s plenty of water and big greens but there’s always a relatively easy route to the greens if you look hard enough. With five sets of tees and flat terrain, you can make Kempferhof a beast or a very pretty walk. Either way, you’ll become a fan of the location and the resort.
