Druids Glen & Heath PARKLAND & TARGET

Course overview

Druids Glen offers two contrasting and quality golf courses. My favourite is the beautiful Druids Glen although the American-type Druids Heath receives the most accolades.

Druids Glen is a parkland with tree-lined fairways, historical landmarks, a few tempting “hit or miss” approaches over water features and vibrant floral displays. Regular host to the European Tour, it’s a marvellous example of how Ireland not only boasts great links, but also great parkland layouts.

Druids Heath is more target-golf with wider fairways and fewer hazards but more open vistas than its sister course. The greens are huge and the course changes its teeth depending on the weather -with a good score possible on calm days and only the most experienced players coping with the shots required when the wind blows.
