Set in thickly-wooded countryside, Sept Fontaines has two main courses, both of which are easy-on-the-eye.
The longer and more demanding Chateau course of 6440 yards is laid out through wooded hills and some relatively generous parkland and has plenty of dog-legs and some appealing short par-fours. The shorter La Foret course (5266 yards) has narrow fairways and some smallish greens; with six par threes and a Par of 69, La Foret is no push-over and is great for a warm-up or a golf-intense 36 holes in the day with a good lunch in the beautiful clubhouse between the two rounds. Four miles north-west of Waterloo.
