Course overview

Rated among the Top 50 courses in England, Aldeburgh dates back to 1884 and, like the adjacent Thorpeness, is a heathland that plays like a links.  Willie Park Junior and Harry Colt made changes in the 1920’s and it’s fairly tight layout with gorse and steep bunkers, you need to keep it straight off the tee although the approaches are relatively generous.  In year-round top condition, Aldeburgh has no winter greens and no placing the ball, and the average golfer or better will really enjoy a round here.   The club prefers Two Balls or Foursomes.
