Course overview

This is undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable courses I’ve played in southern Europe despite the course being very tricky.

Clubbing is crucial because if you don’t make the required level, you’ll watch your ball roll back past you from the green over 100 yards away.

The course unravels between thousands of palm trees and cacti and offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera. There are 22 lakes and ponds and these are joined by impressive waterfalls and bunkers. Designed by Dave Thomas, this is terrific golf which will certainly keep you coming back for more. GPS guided buggies, water, range balls, club cleaning, locker and personalised buggies are all included in the green fee. There is also a golf Academy and three Par 3 practice holes for clients who take lessons with the Professionals. First class and cracking value for residents of the adjacent Ritz Carlton Abama Resort – in fact, you can play it for free from May to September.
