Where to holiday this summer

Where to holiday this summer

To ensure your holiday confidence, continued good health and a relaxing holiday, I would suggest the following criteria needs to be applied:

  1. Ease of access
  2. Avoiding the crowds
  3. A high level of hygiene and evidence that the pandemic has passed
  4. Smaller hotel or a spacious resort
  5. Location avoiding city centres
  6. Freedom of movement

Thankfully, the UK has proximity to mainland Europe and both France and Belgium “tick the boxes!  Clients are booking to leave this month and next with most choosing the coast and some smaller, more traditional resorts.   Some clients are booking touring holidays with two or three nights each at a few hotels with a route designed by me…Northern France/north of Paris/Champagne is a wonderful triangle for a 8-nighter and Normandy, Loire and south of Paris is ideal for slightly longer.   Pictured above is Les Aisses Golf Club near Orleans – rated in the Top 10 of France and a true hidden gem – you can play there, the No.1 course of Fontainebleau and some beautiful holiday layouts all in the same week.

I’ve been in France for the last few weeks and it’s very much as normal except for staff wearing face masks.  There’s plenty of space, the weather is warm and the golf courses are in super condition.   And it’s obviously less busy than usual so it’s ideal to explore the sights and attractions without the crowds.

Give me a call to discuss your holiday requirements and I’ll come up with the right plan for you.
