Designed by the legendary Harry Colt, Royal Dublin was “the” course of the region before the big new courses like The K Club, Carton House and The European opened in the 80’s and 90’s. It’s still rated in the Top 25 of Ireland and is a wonderful and true links course located within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve close to Dublin city.
Most of the greens attract a bump and run but there are plenty of pot bunkers to keep you on your toes and longer hitters may be tempted to cut a couple of corners but…beware the penal rough. The fine clubhouse, the club’s history and the views only add to the feeling of “special occasion”.
