20 minutes north-west of the centre of Nimes, Nimes Vacquerolles golf club borders woodland and provides a holiday golf course with superb views. Designed by American Bill Baker, it’s quite long off the back and there are plenty of dog-legs and well-placed bunkers to negate the benefit of big drives, so it’s a course where your approaches can be quite long. But the fairways are large and the greens are not particularly tricky so it’s a very fair and enjoyable course overall.
