What a piece of real estate! Moliets allows you to open your shoulders but it can be punishing if you’re sloppy or playing off the back tees. The greens are so large that you’ve got to get your club selection right. Our favourite part of the golf course is the stretch around the turn leading to the four holes almost on the beach. The last two holes will put a smile on your face, too.
About 25 minutes north of Seignosse and 30 minutes from Hossegor, Moliets is out on its own a bit but it’s well worth an hour’s drive and is also convenient if you’re travelling from or to Bordeaux. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, Moliets is a perfect holiday golf course and deservedly rated among Europe’s Top 100. Recently stretched to nearly 7000 yards off the very back, it’s got all the teeth it needs however good you are. Moliets is often used by the best French players as a training ground so maintenance is very impressive.
