We like Etretat Golf Club very much – the innocuous start allows you to warm up, then there a few holes where you can grab a birdie or too and then the test begins with some brilliant holes running along the top of the cliffs.
If you’re game is not at its best, enjoy the scenery and look forward to the food in the small but welcoming clubhouse and in the evening at the adjacent Dormy House Hotel.
Over 100 years old, the course is being tweaked this winter so we’re looking forward to the modified layout for the 2017 season.
A fine links and good enough to play several times in a row – especially when you’ve got the wind that makes all links golf so much fun.
