I first played Dundonald before it actually opened and it was already in astonishing condition. Designed by Kyle Phillips and opened in 2005, Dundonald is now rated No.30 in Scotland and hosted the Scottish Open in 2017. The land is rugged but the fairways smooth and it makes for a great opener on your Ayrshire golf tour. The welcome is warm and the set-up simple. A charming and relatively inexpensive treat.
