Sometimes referred to as the “Wentworth of Lisbon”, Aroeira Golf Resort is a prestigious golf and lifestyle community nestled in a serene pine forest, just 25 minutes from Lisbon and 10 minutes from Caparica’s beaches. Under new ownership for a couple of years, both golf courses have been remodelled and the standards of green-keeping is excellent. I love the small and unpretentious clubhouse where the food and wine is really good and fantastic value.
Both courses are 30 minutes south of Lisbon and there’s a fun and bright modern hotel nearby as well as the beaches and a few restaurants. The courses are also en-route to several hotels in the regions to the south of Lisbon.
