Located 90 minutes east of Malaga Airport, the Almerimar is a sleek five-star hotel with excellent leisure facilities and a Gary Player-designed golf course.
Situated very near the coast and near a marina, Almerimar has the sea on one side and fields on the other three. The ancient town of El Ejido is three miles away and the historic city of Almeria – with its Moorish and gothic architecture – is 15 miles. This is a rugged, authentic and unspoilt part of Costa del Sol.
The hotel, opened in 2012, is a bright, lively and top-value golf resort, there’s a welcoming vibe and the spa and fitness facilities make this a hotel for all the family. DINING: Half-board is taken at the Mediterranean buffet where there is also a Sushi bar. There’s a clubhouse restaurant and lobby bar too.
THE GOLF COURSE: Very flat, Almerimar dates from the mid 1970’s and is a 27-hole layout. It’s pleasant parkland golf with a little bit of water and plenty of palm trees. It’s ideal for holiday golf, particularly for when you want to keep your game in shape over the winter months. The course is well-maintained and hosted the Legends Cup in 2024.
