Since 1897, the naturally dramatic layout of Western Gailes has gained fans among the greatest players around the world. Pot bunkers, tall and sculpted grasses and a few burns make up the challenge. The challenge off the tee looks more fearsome than the reality as the landing areas are quite generous, but then you’ve got to pay real attention as the layout moves this way and that and, all the time, the sea views are calling you.
