The Kempinski, Muscat is a five-star luxury hotel that offers a contemporary stay near the capital of Oman. The hotel is situated on the coast, facing the Gulf of Oman, and is part of the modern community of Al Mouj, meaning ‘the Wave’ which now also includes the St Regi, a diving centre and restaurants. It’s the trendiest area in town, designed to attract well-to-do tourists as well as smart housing for the affluent locals. The hotel itself is lively and backed up by the excellent Kempinski service and style. I enjoyed my visit there in December 2024.
The hotel is surrounded by six kilometres of stunning coastline, a marina, just a couple of miles from the best-designed golf course in Oman (and one of the best in the Arabian peninsula region). The hotel is also conveniently located near the Muscat International Airport, and the attractions of the city such as the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Royal Opera House, and the Muttrah Souq.
