Part of the Fairmont Grand del Mar resort, this Tom Fazio course is manicured to exceptional standards and nearly every hole is secluded so you have the real sense of privilege. The course can seem a little tight but the landing areas are more generous that you think and the slopes are kind to your shots. Several holes have a heathland feel to them. This is very good holiday golf, right next door to a beautiful hotel and three miles from the Pacific.
