A fine and quite tight parkland, Kilkenny dates back to 1896 with extensions and improvements throughout, including four different homes until WWII. Today the golf course features tree-lined fairways and quite narrow greens, measuring just over 6000 yards off the back. So accuracy is the key and it makes for a nice change from the longer and more glamorous challenges of nearby Mount Juliet. Green-fees are very reasonable and the welcome and food in the clubhouse makes for a nice day’s golf.
