Laid out in 1888, Royal Cromer has a “who’s who” of golf architects to thank: Old Tom Morris, JH Taylor, Braid, Pennink and more recently Donald Steel who have all redesigned the course as some have fallen into the sea. Famous for international Ladies matches and home to the Curtis sisters who later founded the Curtis Cup, Royal Cromer has many superb holes around the turn and towards the end. Sitting 100m above the Norfolk beaches, you’ll be hard pressed to find better views and the greens are superb.
