At the border of the North and South Downs, Harry Colt laid out the original nine holes in 1913 and completed to 18 holes in 1924. A short 6200 yards, the par of 69 with five par threes will test even the best players. The heathland layout features raised and subtle greens and you need to be an accomplished pitch-and-run player to get close to the flags.
Very pretty and a wonderful old-fashioned (in the best sense of the term) club. Deservedly among the Top 100 courses in England.
