Laid out over classic heathland, Piltdown has no bunkers but the rough is tough and the greens are small. There’s gorse and subtle undulations too. It’s wonderful old-fashioned golf, ideal for “real” players rather the “smash and grab” modern game. The welcome and food in the charming clubhouse adds the finishing touch.
