The closest golf course to Paris centre, Saint Cloud was laid out in 1913 by Harry Colt and offers 36 holes, with some having fabulous views of the Arc de Triomphe. It’s a very sporty club with an enviable list of victories among French amateur competitions.
The Green course is 6500 yards, par 71 and a super parkland challenge. Your putting must be on song as the greens are small and well-guarded so you’ll have to make a few “one putts for par”. The Yellow course is a cute 5400 yards, par 68 but is very tight so leave your driver alone and play sensibly for once! Saint Cloud is rated among Rolex’s guide to the World’s Best Courses…Mostly because of its history and ranking place in French social circles but there’s no doubt that the club provides a memorable day of golf.
