Chef/owner Rene Berard is a bit of a legend: he is Maitre Cuisinier of France, has a Michelin star and now his son has one too. Madame Berard is the Maitresse de la Maison and the whole wonderful set-up is a passionate family affair with great attention to detail. We love it.
An eclectic mix of buildings including a convent, the ancient ramparts, pavillon and barns, Hostellerie Berard is a delightful maze with surprises at every corner. The bedrooms are presented with elegance but some are small so we’d always recommend the mid-range rooms. If you’re in need of feeling at ease, if you love Provence, if you appreciate the art of good food and if you’re a keen golfer, there’s nothing much better than Berard’s.
